We're thrilled to reveal the first of this year's Webby Sessions taking place at Internet Week New York!
The Webby Sessions are a series of panels and discussions touching on the latest Internet trends and inspirations specially curated by us. Each day, we will bring you thought-provoking content and leaders representing the very best of the web.
The first Webby Session is taking place on Monday, May 20 at 11am and will feature the incredibly popular, engaging, uplifting, and Webby Winning photo blog Humans of New York.
Photographer Brandon Stanton will join Webby Executive Director, David-Michel Davies to discuss the Internet's ability to foster altruism and build supportive community along with sharing the meteoric rise of his blog over the past couple of years.
We look forward to sharing ideas from some of our most inspiring Webby winners, judges, and friends.
Being social online has never been easier - or more necessary - than it is in today’s age of the ubiquitous mobile phone. Combining the two emerging fields, Social Mobile takes the best elements from social networking and mobile apps to connect users locally through innovative API and geolocation technology.
From Foursquare to Skype, Social Mobile websites and apps are changing the way we interact, learn and well, socialize.
Webby Connect will explore the latest in social mobile, delve into the challenges of developing social mobile platforms, and touch on how developers and advertisers alike are experimenting (and capitalizing) off this innovative technology.
If you have a mobile phone in you possession at this very moment (which, we’re willing to bet our weight in Scramble With Friends coins, you do), then you’ve probably come across the intersection dubbed “SoLoMoCo” (aka Social, Local, Mobile, and Commerce).
But what exactly is SoLoMoCo, you say? Wonder no more as our friends at Vitamin T get the scoop from Allen & Gerritsen’s Schneider Mike in the clip above.
This and more results from our Talent Questionnaire, pictured above!
Did you know, the most popular online hangouts among men are social platforms like Turntable.fm and Chill?
See more results from our Staying In to Go Out: Online Hangouts survey compiled in our handy, dandy chart above!

There are plenty more reasons to have Indianapolis on your radar this week than just the Super Bowl, especially if you’re a creative professional! Our friends over at Vitamin T gave us the lowdown on this Midwest city in its latest installment of the Global Office Tour.
Vitamin T agent Kallie Bonnell lets us in on what makes Indianapolis a great place for interactive talent, which agencies are the best to check out, and fills you in on some odd factoids about the Crossroads of America. (Did you know Indianapolis is the amateur sports capital of the world? Well, now you do!)

We sure did visit tons of great places on the first-ever Webby Talk World Tour, but one city we missed this time around was Detroit. Luckily for us, Vitamin T has us covered on that front with its Global Office Tour series.
Vitamin T sat down with star agent Rebecca Sanders to learn what makes Detroit much more than just the “automobile capital of the world.”
Read Think You Know Detroit? Think Again! to get the inside scoop on the city’s best networking organizations, its finest ad agencies, and some sage advice for creatives looking to move to the Motor City.

55% of the Webby Awards audience takes to Twitter to complain about a brand experience, 42% of the same group never gets a complaint resolved.
This and more results from our Culture of (Dis)satisfaction survey, pictured above!

Never underestimate simple, as it can turn into something great. Such is the case with Vitamin T agent Jeremy Pair when he dreamed of starting a networking event with his friend Jala Smith-Huy.
What started out as a way to connect with fellow creatives became the event du jour for fellow talented folks in Portland. And how did they make it happen? Read How to Succeed at Networking Without Really Trying to learn more.
Ah, the Internet, what would we do without you? While you’re mulling over that question, be sure to RSVP to The Webbys’ own drink event Thursday, January 19 at 7pm in NYC, where we’ll be celebrating the first-ever Webby Talks World Tour!
We hope to see you there!

So, here we are; four months, nine countries and countless U.S. cities later, the first-annual Webby Talks World Tour will make its final national stop in Washington DC.
To say we’re excited to visit the home base of such Webby-winning organizations like NPR, the Smithsonian, and NASA is an understatement.
This city is also host to some of the best creative talent in the country! Read Washington, DC: Where ‘DC’ Stands for ‘Digital Creative’ to learn the ins and outs of this hotbed for interactive talent, straight from Vitamin T’s super agent (and DC insider) Alison Trip.

Webby Talks is taking on the West Coast this week!
Not only will we be visiting our friends at Disney Interactive, G4, Funny or Die (to name a few), but we’re also stopping by “What’s Trending” with Shira Lazar on Wednesday, November 30. (P.S. You’re invited to join us for this special event! RSVP by emailing event@sunshinesachs.com)
We’re definitely psyched that we get some one-on-one time with some of the leading tech and media companies in the world during this visit. And we’re especially happy that Vitamin T agent Robin McKee-Clark let us in on why L.A. is an ideal city for interactive talent and reveals some odd factoids about the “Entertainment Capital of the World” to boot (Did you know that Hollywood was originally called “Hollywoodland”?!).
